We talk about how researchers identified a Russian soldier-marauder who stole AirPods during the occupation of Buchi. Using the headphones’ tracking feature, researchers traced his route from Buchi to his hometown in Siberia.

Let’s start

Consequences of looting by Russian servicemen in the house.

We cannot determine the exact number of looters who looted the house, but it is known that at least one of them survived and returned to the Russian Federation after escaping from Buchi.

According to the geolocation of the device, after leaving Buchi, the looter went to the city of Valuyka in the Belgorod Region. This is the intended place of temporary deployment of Russian troops, from where an offensive in the direction of Svatove-Kreminna is planned.

The scene of the crime is marked on the left on the map, the place where the robber escaped is marked on the right.

The estimated escape route from the Ukrainian city of Bucha to the Russian city of Valuyki was over 1,000 kilometers.

According to the specified coordinates, the robber was located on the southern outskirts of the city near the forest plantation. It is likely that this place hosts the reserves of Russian troops, which are preparing for another massive invasion of Ukraine along the route “Svatove – Kreminna – Valuyki”.

What do you think the robber from the city of Bucha did after he returned to Russia? Right! He went on vacation to the sea.

Subsequently, it was recorded that the robber moved to the city of Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Territory, where he was on July 27, 2022.

The robber traveled more than 1,000 kilometers after committing crimes in Ukraine to get to Gelendzhik!

After staying in Gelendzhik by the sea for about a day, the robber immediately set off on a long journey to Siberia. As it turned out later, he was on his way to his real home at the place of registration.

After visiting Gelendzhik, the criminal set off on a journey of more than 4,000 kilometers to the city of Kemerovo, located northeast of Novosibirsk.

On January 28, 2023, the approximate geolocation point of the headphones was located in the city of Kemerovo on Verkhotomska street, building 64.

Since the standard error of geolocation is from 0 to 20 meters, the stolen gadget can be located both in house #64 and in neighboring houses within the error of the satellite signal. Having determined the approximate place of residence of the thief, we quickly established his identity.

Identification of the Russian looter

With the help of VK, photos were installed that indicated geolocation next to houses 62 and 64 on Verkhotomska Street. According to the tracking data of the gadget, the headphones were located there.

Photos taken near houses No. 62 and No. 64 were published on the Russian social network VK with geolocation.

Let’s assume that Apple transmitted the approximate house number by geolocation, and the current address of the headphones is in house #62.

Photos (1, 2, 3) were published by Tetyana Nureeva (VK, OK2) on the Russian social network VKontakte.Tatyana’s son – Nureev Roman Evgenovich (11/18/1994, mailto:[email protected] passport: 3214490927, VK) is a military serviceman, as confirmed by merged Russian databases and photos on Roman’s page.Roman’s wife is Kateryna Nureeva (VK), the couple has a son.

Roman Yevgenovich Nureyev (November 18, 1994) is a headphone thief.

Roman Nureyev is registered at house No. 62 on Verkhotomska Street, located next to the house whose geolocation is indicated by the Apple service as the location of the stolen headphones.

Roman Nureyev is registered in building 62 – an extract from the register of residents of the city of Kemerovo.

After checking the neighboring houses on the street from all sides, we found that this is the only house in the specified location with such a characteristic cladding. Therefore, we can consider the identification successful. Next, we need to learn more about the identity of the thief.

Roman Nureyev held the position of gunner and orderly while serving in the 27th detachment of JV “Kuzbass” (military unit 6607) – extract from the register of residents of the city of Kemerovo.

On 09/29/2012, Roman Nureyev published a photo of a car with Ukrainian license plates, which he signed “mriya” (“dream”).

At this stage, we can confidently state that Roman Nureyev was in the zone of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine as part of the Rosguard battalion. During the occupation of Buchi by Russian troops, he robbed a house and appropriated an insider’s headphones, which is a typical example of the behavior of a Russian serviceman.

We draw the attention of readers: Roman Nureyev, the head of the family, not only went to war against a sovereign state for money, but also committed a war crime by robbing a civilian house. He brought the loot home to show off to his family and enjoy the status of “hero of Russia” and “hero of the war.”

Roman Nureyev is a fan of the Russian football club “Sochi”. On February 2, 2022, he and his wife attended a football match at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi.
