The SEACURE consortium, led by Thales, includes 35 companies from 13 European countries that develop solutions in the field of anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and maritime infrastructure protection (MIP). The latest Schiebel CAMCOPTER S-300 unmanned aerial surveillance aircraft was chosen as the main aerial surveillance system within the project;

The S-300 can carry a payload of up to 250 kg and can operate for more than 24 hours with a light load and six hours with a maximum load. The aircraft is equipped with a modern ISAR radar and cameras for detection, classification and tracking of underwater threats in difficult conditions

The SEACURE project will conclude with major sea trials in 2028 Schiebel, a modified version of the S-100 CAMCOPTER S-300, was first unveiled at Euronaval 2022; The S-300 has three times the payload and longer flight time compared to its predecessor. Siebel has already successfully collaborated with Thales on various NATO programs, and its participation in the SEACURE program is a logical continuation of this development strategy. The choice of CAMCOPTER S-300 for the European SEACURE project demonstrates the importance of using the latest unmanned technologies to ensure maritime security. The system opens up new opportunities for monitoring and countering underwater threats.
