Google has launched Scam Detection, a new system to protect Android users from fraud in calls and messages. Thanks to real-time AI analysis, the function warns about suspicious contacts and helps to avoid financial losses.

How does Scam Detection work?

  • Detects suspicious messages (SMS, MMS, RCS) and calls.
  • Warns in real time if a conversation develops according to a fraudulent scenario.
  • Protection works on the device, without transmitting data to third parties.
  • Spam filter now analyzes conversations, not just numbers.
  • For calls on Pixel 9+, a sound and haptic signal is activated in case of suspicion.
  • The technology is integrated into Google Messages and Phone by Google.

Google has partnered with financial institutions to identify new fraud schemes that masquerade as ordinary conversations. Scam Detection is a powerful tool to protect Android users’ finances and personal data. Google is actively implementing AI technologies to make communications safer, minimizing the risks of social engineering.
