DumpForums, a well-known hacking forum, claims to have stolen 10 terabytes of data from Russian cybersecurity firm Dr.Web. This large-scale cyber attack can be a serious blow to the reputation of the company, which is a leading player in the market of information protection in kasapia.

Hackers from DumpForums announced that they managed to break into Dr.Web’s local network and gradually gain access to the most secure parts of the company’s infrastructure. They claim they were able to retrieve data from the company’s GitLab server, mail server, task management system, and communication platforms. The greatest risk is the possible theft of client databases, which can threaten the privacy of Dr.Web users. The hackers said the company did not detect the intrusion for a month, continuing to operate as normal.

Dr.Web has acknowledged the attack on its resources, but claims that the attempt to disrupt its infrastructure was quickly stopped. Dr.Web also reported that in order to check all resources, it temporarily disabled network connections and stopped the release of virus databases.

Although Dr.Web officially claims to have quickly prevented the attack, DumpForums’ confirmation that 10 TB of data was stolen raises questions about the effectiveness of its protection. Further investigations will reveal the true extent of this attack and the potential risks to customers.
