On Monday morning, more than 100,000 Verizon subscribers in the western United States were left without mobile service. The problem continued until late last night, when the FCC opened an investigation.

The outage began at 9:30 a.m. ET and affected at least nine major cities, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, Chicago and Seattle. At its peak, more than 100,000 users reported network outages. Most of them did not have access to mobile communication or signals. By midday, Verizon said it was working to restore its network. However, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has begun an investigation into the cause of the outage. By the end of the day, Verizon said it had fully restored the network and urged users to reboot their devices if the problem persists.

Despite the significant impact on customers, Verizon was able to restore service by the evening of the same day. The incident raised concerns about the stability of the network, and the FCC launched its own investigation. Verizon thanked customers for their patience and apologized for the inconvenience.
