31-year-old podcaster Brett Michael Dadig from Pittsburgh has been arrested after allegedly stalking at least 11 women across multiple US states, according to federal prosecutors. The suspect claimed that ChatGPT “advised him” on where to find his future wife, how to “build a platform,” and how to react when women turned him down.

Dadig was indicted on 14 criminal counts, including cyberstalking, interstate stalking, threats, harassment, and doxxing. Investigators say he threatened victims with physical harm, posted their photos, addresses, and workplace details, attempted to get them fired, and even appeared at their homes and jobs.

His behavior escalated into real-world stalking, the use of aliases, interstate travel despite protection orders, and, in one case, alleged sexual assault. He frequently recorded podcasts with titles such as “How Not to Be a Bitch,” expressing hatred toward women and labeling them “trash,” “all the same,” and similarly degrading terms.

On social media, Dadig described himself as an “influencer” and “God’s assassin,” claiming that ChatGPT was his “best friend and therapist,” allegedly pushing him to “grow the brand” through online conflict. He also posted about being diagnosed with “antisocial personality disorder” and “bipolar disorder with psychotic features.”

Despite repeated police interventions and restraining orders, Dadig continued his campaign, moving between cities, gyms, and identities. He was arrested on November 7 and has remained in custody ever since.

Authorities consider this one of the most extreme cyberstalking cases in recent years. The incident highlights how digital platforms and AI tools can amplify dangerous behavior in individuals with unstable mental health. If convicted on all counts, Dadig faces up to 70 years in federal prison and up to $3.5 million in fines.
