The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a successful operation in Kyiv, detaining a collaborator who provided the Russian military presence with construction materials for fortifications in southern Ukraine.

In Kyiv, the Security Service of Ukraine detained the owner of several enterprises from Berdyansk, who, after the occupation of the city by Russian troops, started collaborationist activities. According to the investigation, the perpetrator supplied sand, crushed stone, and cement for the construction of the so-called “dragon’s teeth” – anti-tank reinforced concrete structures. The suspect managed the illegal business remotely from Kyiv, using top management who remained in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. Enterprises were “re-registered” under Russian legislation, regularly paying “taxes” to the budget of the aggressor country.

The attacker’s activities became the subject of an investigation by the Security Service of Ukraine, which operated under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. A search of the collaborator’s apartment in Kyiv revealed numerous documents and physical evidence confirming his criminal activity.

Currently, the person involved has been notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for conducting economic activities in cooperation with the aggressor state. The perpetrator is in custody, awaiting trial.
