Ukrainian hackers in cooperation with InformNapalm disrupted the supply of sanctioned military equipment to Russia. The scheme using an Indian company allowed the Russians to circumvent sanctions and purchase critical European equipment.

The “256 Cyber Assault” team obtained internal documents that expose a conspiracy between the Russian company EMT and the Indian company Park Controls & Communications. Sanctioned equipment, in particular, products from the French company HGH Infrared Systems, were purchased via India with payment in rupees through Sberbank India. The Indian side misled the European manufacturer about the end user. As a result of an international investigation, the supplies were stopped, and the manufacturer was notified and promptly terminated cooperation. At the same time, the possibility of replacing French products with Israeli analogues was revealed – in particular, the METS-S collimator.
LLC EMT supplies the Russian defense industry with technical equipment for testing in the military and aerospace industries. The company has been under US sanctions since October 2024, but this did not prevent it from concluding deals through intermediaries. Analysis of the correspondence reveals a deep conspiracy and technical support from Indian specialists — in particular, the configuration of equipment at Russian defense enterprises.
The actions of Ukrainian hackers and analysts from InformNapalm have proven the effectiveness of cyberinterference at the international level. Despite Russia’s attempts to circumvent sanctions, control and transparency on the part of the community allow for the rapid detection of violations. This case also highlights the danger posed by third countries that are willing to cooperate with an aggressor, despite international law.
