“Vitryak M”: An innovative system for detecting enemy FPV drones

The Windmill M system, developed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, was the first innovation of its kind that allows reliable detection of enemy FPV drones.

Windmill M is a kamikaze drone and enemy FPV drone detection device. The device is designed for environmental monitoring and instant recognition of signals from drones. The system analyzes frequencies and specific signals characteristic of enemy drones and instantly reacts to their approach. Once a drone is detected, the system can send a signal to a ground or air response vehicle to quickly take action, including destroying the drone.

The Vitryak M system can be integrated with other defense technologies, ensuring effective interaction and coordination on the battlefield. It is adapted to work in difficult conditions and is resistant to interference, especially radio frequency. This allows it to be used with a high concentration of electronic signals and interference from other military systems.

“Vitryak M” was created by the Center for Scaling of Technological Solutions (CMTR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The appearance of such innovative devices is due to the urgent need for modern protection systems against the background of increasing threats from kamikaze drones, which are widely used in combat operations. For the first time, a military unit in Ukraine acted independently as a developer of defense equipment and codified it as an item of supply for the Armed Forces.
