A drone for searching for people is a modern solution that is actively used in rescue operations in Ukraine. Thanks to the latest technologies of thermal imaging detection, artificial intelligence and GPS navigation, the drone is able to quickly find missing persons even in difficult conditions – at night, in the forest or during bad weather. A new generation of drones, like this model, has an extended flight time, powerful optics and stable communication over long distances. This allows you to quickly respond to emergencies and save lives where every second counts.

Next-generation autonomous system

Modern challenges require modern solutions. In conditions of war, humanitarian crises and global threats to life, the issue of rapid detection of explosive objects, mines or technical anomalies becomes a matter not only of safety, but also of survival. It is to solve these tasks that the D80-Discovery complex platform was created – a fully autonomous unmanned system capable of performing the most complex geophysical missions, acting accurately, quickly and without risk to humans. This drone takes aerial reconnaissance and analysis of the underground environment to a fundamentally new level.

Its key advantage is the ability to operate autonomously over long distances, regardless of infrastructure or external interference. This is not just a device for aerial photography, but a high-tech system that turns flight into a source of complex scientific information. Thanks to the use of magnetometers, signal analysis software and a durable design, the D80-Discovery demonstrates a new standard of efficiency in areas where every meter of land is potentially deadly.

What is D80-Discovery and why is it a game changer?

D80-Discovery is a multifunctional platform designed for long-term missions in extreme conditions. Its flight part is built according to the classic fixed-wing scheme, which provides significantly greater stability, aerodynamic efficiency and cost-effectiveness compared to helicopters. Thanks to the use of aviation aluminum type 2024T3, the device body withstands heavy loads, shock vibrations and is not subject to corrosion during long-term storage in the field.

A feature of the drone is that it can operate in automatic mode: the full mission cycle – takeoff, route execution with a data set, load control and landing – do not require constant operator intervention. The on-board navigation system is able to adapt to obstacles and rebuild the route in real time. This allows the D80-Discovery to be used not only in remote areas, but also in combat zones where other means simply do not work.

Advantages of the D80-Discovery complex

There are many drones on the market, but only a few are capable of carrying a serious scientific load. The D80 is designed specifically to work not “for pictures”, but to collect deep underground data with a high level of reliability. Its architecture allows you to scale the equipment to the customer’s tasks, adapt the flight altitude, coverage density, distance between lines — all this is automatically calculated before launch using built-in tools.

Main advantages:

  • Fully autonomous navigation enables missions in environments where GPS is unavailable or with weak signals.

  • The platform’s robust structural design allows it to easily withstand weather conditions, including strong winds and temperature extremes.

  • Compatibility with a wide range of sensor systems—from magnetometers to cameras, lidars, and transmitters—makes the platform flexible for any mission.

  • Low fuel consumption and high energy efficiency allow for extended flight times without the need for additional tanks or batteries.

  • Software with built-in flight scenario templates simplifies use even in complex missions, without the need for a team of engineers.

Sensor system: Magnetometer FGM3D/75

At the heart of the D80-Discovery research potential is the FGM3D/75 magnetometer. This is a highly sensitive system capable of detecting changes in the magnetic field with high spatial and temporal resolution. The ferroprobe-type sensors do not require calibration in the field, their design reduces the impact of noise from electric motors, vibrations or power line interference. Installation is possible on the frame directly to the chassis without loss of signal quality.

The FGM3D/75 allows for 3-axis imaging, with a frequency of up to 200 Hz, which guarantees accurate registration of short signals from small objects – mines, bombs, pipes or other threats. The system also supports storage on the built-in memory and management via a web interface. Thanks to this, the operator in the field has full control over the process of collecting and pre-processing signals, without the need to connect to the base.
