Starting May 12, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) officially switched to a new format for distributing cyber threat information. It was decided to abandon RSS feeds, and instead use email newsletters and social media posts.

Critical notifications about new threats will now be available only on the CISA website homepage. Other updates, including updates to the KEV (Known Exploitable Vulnerabilities) catalog and advice on industrial ICS systems, will be sent via email or social media. CISA explains the change as a desire to make the most important notifications as visible and easily accessible as possible for experts.
The organization is responding to the growing need for rapid incident reporting in critical infrastructure, such as energy, transportation, water, and manufacturing. Industrial systems that were previously isolated from the Internet are now increasingly integrated into global networks, which increases their vulnerability to attacks.
CISA encourages cybersecurity professionals to subscribe to updates via GovDelivery to not miss important information about new vulnerabilities, remembering that the speed of response to cyber threats directly affects national security.
