Two men were arrested in Boston for flying a drone near Logan Airport, sparking a new wave of panic over unidentified objects in the airspace of the northeastern United States.

Boston police announced the arrest of 42-year-old Robert Duffy and 32-year-old Jeremy Folzik, who were detained on Long Island, part of Boston Harbor. Both men, who were found with a drone during the chase, were charged with trespassing. The third suspect is still at large.

The incident began at 4:30 p.m. local time, when police using the latest monitoring technology detected an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near Logan Airport. This comes after Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio was shut down for four hours due to suspicious drone activity.

This situation highlights the need to improve airspace surveillance technologies and legal measures to effectively control and detect drones.
