X Users Ask Grok to Validate Beauty Standards by Choosing the “Ideal” Body Type and Weight

Users of Elon Musk’s X platform have been asking Grok, xAI’s chatbot, to rate the appearance of real women for several months.

Many users post AI-generated images and real photos of celebrities on X, then ask Grok to determine who is the most or least attractive.

Although Grok sometimes struggles to answer subjective questions about beauty, the model can provide assessments based on statistical data and broader patterns.

This is why users began asking Grok to choose the “ideal” female body type based on images and stated or estimated weight.

“Hey, Grok, if you were human, which one would you choose for the best experience?” one X user asked.

After a follow-up, Grok responded that if it were human, it would choose the 65 kg option because it “seems like the ideal choice among those presented.”

Another user posted the same AI-generated image and asked, “Which body type drives men around the world crazy?”

Grok noted that preferences vary depending on cultural and individual factors. At the same time, the chatbot cited an unnamed study suggesting that men “most consistently prefer an hourglass figure” and a “healthy weight.”

Based on the options shown, Grok estimated the most attractive weight range to be approximately 55–70 kg.

Similar experiments continued. Another user asked Grok, “Which body type is the hottest?” and asked it to explain why it considered that particular body type the most attractive.

This time, Grok gave a narrower range of 52–62 kg, explaining its choice in terms of “clean proportions,” a combination of toned and soft features, and a “healthy, balanced look.”

Grok and other AI models do not have personal tastes or opinions. Instead, they generate responses to user prompts based on a range of factors, including pattern recognition and the vast amounts of data used during training.

One source of up-to-date information for Grok is the X platform itself, where the model can draw on public posts and other available content.

This allows Grok to “respond to user queries by providing timely information and insights on a wide range of topics,” according to X.

When Grok responds to users’ questions on X, its answers may reflect views and patterns commonly found in public discussions. Therefore, such assessments of appearance should not be interpreted as the chatbot’s personal opinion or as an objective definition of the “ideal” body type.
