The vibrant and spectacular World Humanoid Robot Games kicked off in Beijing, with more than 280 teams from 16 countries demonstrating impressive achievements in artificial intelligence and robotics. The three-day competition combines sports disciplines with unique robotic challenges.

At the National Ice Skating Stadium in Beijing, robots competed in running, table tennis, football, and special tasks ranging from sorting medicines to cleaning. Participants included teams from the United States, Germany, and Brazil, leading Chinese companies Unitree and Fourier Intelligence, as well as numerous university teams. The atmosphere of the competition was filled with excitement: spectators enthusiastically reacted to the accurate actions and laughed when the robots fell or crashed into each other during matches and races.

Often, the mechanical athletes had to climb with the help of people, but some impressively regained their balance on their own, causing loud applause. Organizers emphasized that such games are not just a show, but also a valuable opportunity to collect real-world data for the further development of robots capable of working in manufacturing or service sectors.

China is actively investing billions of dollars in the development of robotics and artificial intelligence, seeking to reduce the impact of an aging population and compete with the United States in the field of high technology. In recent months, the country has organized a number of large-scale events, including the world’s first humanoid marathon and thematic conferences. Morgan Stanley analysts also confirm the growing interest in the topic, noting a significantly higher number of visitors to robotics events compared to previous years.

The World Humanoid Robot Games in China have become a vivid testimony to the country’s global ambitions in the field of artificial intelligence. Such events not only highlight technological advances, but also form an exciting platform for international collaboration and innovation, which are increasingly integrated into our daily lives.
