Spanish police have arrested a hacker responsible for dozens of cyberattacks on Spanish government agencies, NATO, US forces and the UN. His activities have had an international impact and have attracted the attention of European and American law enforcement agencies.

The arrest took place in the city of Calpe after a large-scale operation carried out by the Spanish National Police and the Civil Guard. The hacker is accused of disclosing classified information, unauthorized access to computer systems, cyberattacks and money laundering. He used several aliases on darknet forums where he publicized his crimes. Computer equipment and more than 50 cryptocurrency accounts with various digital assets were seized from his home. The hacker has repeatedly attacked the Spanish Ministry of Defense, the Civil Guard, the Ministry of Education and several universities.

His trail first came to light in February 2024 after a massive breach of personal data of employees and customers of various companies was exposed on a hacking forum. The incident was investigated for a year, and in December 2024, a cyberattack was carried out on the Spanish military. The attackers also attacked the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the United Nations, stealing data on 14,000 delegates; information about the ICAO hack was confirmed after the Natohub account published the data on the hacking resource BreachForums.

  1. This act of hacking is being closely monitored by Spanish law enforcement agencies, Europol and the US National Security Agency. The use of encrypted messengers and complex anonymization systems made it difficult to detect him. However, with the help of the Spanish Crypto Center and international agencies, it was possible to establish his identity and track his trail on the darknet.
  2. The 18-year-old hacker was released on bail after a court hearing, but his activities were part of a series of global cybercrime arrests. Spain is stepping up its fight against cybercrime by working with international law enforcement agencies.
