Apple has issued a new warning to iPhone users in 98 countries about potential spyware attacks. This is the second such warning in the last few months, the previous one was issued in April.

While Apple did not provide details on the latest attacks or specify which countries were affected, users in India have already reported receiving warnings. Spyware, such as Pegasus from the Israeli company NSO Group, can take full control of an iPhone, including encrypted messages and audio and video recordings.

Starting in 2021, Apple regularly sends such warnings, reaching users in more than 150 countries. Spyware warnings are becoming more frequent, indicating a growing threat from these programs.

Apple recommends using Lockdown Mode for complete protection against spyware, although it may affect iPhone functionality. Users should be careful and follow basic security rules, such as regular software updates.
