Two brothers, Noor Nabi Chowdhury and Mohammad Rahman, were accused of illegally broadcasting sports events through the 247tvstream platform, earning $7 million and causing more than $100 million in damages to rights holders.

The brothers created the 247TVStream platform to broadcast sports events such as NFL and NBA games for a $10 subscription. At the same time, they did not pay for the content license. The 247tvstream website is currently unavailable and is subject to a seizure report by the US Department of Homeland Security. Servers supporting the platform have also been removed. Noora Nabi Chowdhury, who lives in New York, has been taken into custody, while his brother Mohammad Rahman is in Bangladesh. They face up to 20 years in prison on various charges, including fraud, illegal broadcasting of digital content and identity theft.

247TVStream is one of many illegal platforms that use modern technologies to circumvent copyright. Such platforms often attract the attention of law enforcement agencies because they cause significant damage to industrial enterprises. Illegal broadcasting of sports events is a particularly profitable scheme due to the high demand for content.
