President Volodymyr Zelenskyi believes that the project will become an additional source of income for the budget of Ukraine. In an interview with journalist Rex Friedman, the President of Ukraine stated that several countries of the African Union are interested in introducing an analog version of the digital state service “Diya”.
Ukraine is ready to start implementing this project after the end of the war with Russia. Zelensky emphasized that the digitalization of public services will help minimize corruption by eliminating the need for physical contact with public servants, and emphasized that Ukraine is a European leader in terms of digital solutions. In addition to digitalization, Kyiv has proposed cooperation with African states in the areas of security, food, education and mining.
The request from the African Union to create a Dia analogue confirms the high level of digital development. Ukraine can become an important partner in the field of digitization for many countries of the world.
