For 2024-2025, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Digital have contracted 1.8 million drones to strengthen the Armed Forces

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation have already contracted 1.8 million unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) worth almost UAH 147 billion to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2024-2025.

For 2024, the Ministry of Defense together with the Ministry of Digital has already contracted 1.6 million units of various types of UAVs, spending more than UAH 114 billion, of which suppliers have already delivered 1.28 million units. Deliveries include drones for various purposes, from deep strike to reconnaissance models. More than 366,000 more drones are scheduled to be delivered by the end of this year. For 2025, 155,000 UAVs have been contracted for the amount of UAH 32.33 billion. The list includes reconnaissance aircraft, FPV-kamikaze, attack copters and other types that will expand the military’s technical capabilities on the front lines.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation are actively working on the modernization of the technical support of the Armed Forces. Procurement and integration of advanced UAVs are essential for effective response to modern situations. Such a large number of drones for the Armed Forces is an important step to ensure the superiority of the Ukrainian army at the front. The supply of various types of UAVs will allow a quick response to tactical and strategic challenges, providing comprehensive support in the defense of the country.
