The German automaker announced an application for Apple Watch owners that allows you to remotely control the main functions of the car. The user can check the fuel level and battery charge, find the car in the parking lot, open and close the door remotely.
The app also provides a “compass mode” to help you navigate when you don’t have access to a map. In addition, the user can make sure that the car window is closed.
To use the app, you need an iPhone with the app installed and an Apple Watch with watchOS9 or later. The application supports Mercedes-Benz models released after 2019, but the availability of features depends on the specific car model. For example, EV features and advanced navigation may only be available on select models. Tesla is currently developing a version for the Apple Watch that will act as a digital key.
