Twitter, now called X, remains one of the most popular social media platforms. Given its high activity and wide reach, security issues in X are becoming more and more relevant. In this article, we’ll take a look at the steps you need to take to keep your X account secure, and what tools you can use to protect your data.

We go to “X”

Step 2

Go to Messages

Step 3

Click on “Gear”

Step 4

Click on the invisible arrow

Step 5

Click on the “Security and profile access” section

Step 6

Click on “Security”

Step 7

Next “Two-factor authentication”

Step 8

Drag the “Appendix to authentication” slider

Step 9

Enter your password and click “Confirm”

Step 10

And click “Let’s start”.

Click on the underlined text

Step 12

Take a screenshot and, for convenience, transfer it to a safe place, or click on the underlined text

Step 13

We enter the code for the application for authentication

Step 14

Go to Google Authenticator

Step 15

Click “Enter the configuration key”

Step 16

Enter your account information and click “Add”

Step 17

Notice the underlined text “Authenticator code saved”

Step 18

We go to “X”

Step 19

Click “Enter code”

Step 20

Enter the code and click “Confirm”

Step 21

Everything worked out for us. You can now use the mobile app for authentication

Finally, click “Done”
